The first integrated Secondary School “Mosha Pijade” was officially opened in September 1, 2010 in the Municipality of Jegunovce. The construction of the new school facility was managed by NDC with financial support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom Norway. NDC Skopje is planning in the future to build additional 350 square meters to this school and then this school would have a capacity for teaching of 160 students from 1st till 4th year, in 2 shifts.
In the first academic year a total of 36 students were enrolled in the regular teaching process. In the academic year 2011/2012, the second generation of student was enrolled in the integrated secondary school. In the same principle as with the primary school, NDC is implementing specific tailor made integrated programs for students, teachers, parents and school managers. In addition, NDC Skopje has also organized various cultural and sports event for the secondary school students as well as study trips and visits to Norway for the students, parents, teachers and school managers. Recently NDC Skopje has established partnership relations with the Song Vocational School from Oslo, Norway and form this academic year we will organize exchange visits for a selected number of our secondary school students and teachers.

The vision of the Integrated bilingual secondary school “Fridtjof Nansen” is creating a high quality and representative educational model which will represent a role model for equal opportunities and access to education of all ethnic communities in multiethnic environments. A contemporary integrated educational model that fosters, encourages and integrates multiethnic values, bilingualism at the same time promotes and supports partnership relations between students, teachers and parents, encourages community participation through establishing harmonious relations based on respecting differences. |
